This harness is used to relocate to a 2nd push to start switch into a hidden location. By leaving your existing or broken push to start switch in your dash and adding a second hidden push to start switch in your vehicle using this harness to hide the real push to start button. By installing this you put the would be thief trying to start your vehicle with either the relay signal theft approach or if they’ve created another key FOB to start you vehicle into a situation where more time gets wasted trying to steal your vehicle. Some thieves come with a theft script they use to steal your vehicle, and when that plan isn’t working they will give up and leave. Or spend more time trying to figure it out and further risking themselves to getting caught. Time is not something a thief wants to spend while trying to steal your vehicle, so the more time they waste the more likely they are to give up.
Remember, if a thief REALLY wants your vehicle, they will bring a tow truck of some type and just take it. That is why we all must think of vehicle security like layers of an onion where one layer isn’t going to keep you safe, so you alone must determine what you feel is adequate in keeping your vehicle right where you left it!
To order this you need to obtain a second push to start button from your preferred source. Then determine where you are going to hide it in order to determine the length of this cable you will need. Measure from the back side of the original push to start button in your dash and order that distance and any slack you think you might need to order this harness. Then select that length in order to add the right one for your solution to your cart.
